Meet The Groomers
Heather has been a part of the canine community from a very young age, starting as a junior handler showing her first dog in conformation when she was just a teenager. She has since gone on to perform in many canine sports venues, titling multiple dogs of various breeds in conformation, obedience, agility, flyball and herding. She spends her free time training and competing with her own pups, and loves all animals great and small.
She started off as a veterinary technician gaining invaluable knowledge about health as well as safe and gentle handling of pets. She then decided to pursue her passion for the beauty of her canine friends, and participated in a grooming internship to learn the art of professional grooming.
She has groomed in and around the McKinney area since 2004, and opened Good Karma Pet Spa, named after her own beloved border collie, Karma, in the spring of 2014.
Her number one concern is the well being and comfort of her canine guests. She will work with their people to determine the style and procedures to best fit each individual's needs. She prides herself on providing a safe and stress free environment to give each pet the very best grooming experience.

“ Heather is so gentle with my dogs and they love her. I have 2 Standard Schnauzers and she does an excellent job with them. I also have 2 mixed breed dogs and one gets the teddy bear cut and the other always gets to keep his mohawk. One of my schnauzers doesn't like to be brushed, especially his face, but she knows just how to handle him, the other schnauzer didn't like getting her nails cut, so she now dremels them with no problems. Just can't say enough good things about Heather!" ​

Nancy
Nancy has been grooming in the McKinney area since 2007. She began grooming as a second career because a career counselor advised her to find her passion. Her love of animals, especially dogs, led her into grooming. She gets to spend her days with dogs and people who love their dogs. It couldn’t be a better match.
Nancy spends her off hours with her husband and their ginger giant, Gobi. He is a very large and in charge golden retriever. She also is an avid photographer who loves to travel.
Nancy is known for her kind handling of her canine clients. She knows that happy dogs are much easier to groom. Her clients are assured that each dog is special to Nancy.
"Nancy has been grooming Snowball for the three years that we have had him. She is very gentle, and treats him as she would her own pet. Snowball loves to go there. He looks and smells so beautiful after Nancy has groomed him."

"I drive thirty minutes to get there, and they are beyond worth it. My two little dogs love Nancy and start getting excited as soon as we turn into the driveway. Nancy does a wonderful job grooming them, and I can tell my girls are treated like royalty when they see her. The spa is comfortable, and my dogs are well taken care of. I will not take them anywhere else."

Kara
Kara knew from a young age when she was gifted her first cat, she had a passion for taking care of animals. She could always be found playing with or observing any creatures nearby.
Her opportunity to join the pet care industry came in 2016 when she moved to the Dallas area. Working as a kennel technician at a pet resort, she found she has a special love for dogs. She was able to learn more about their behavior and language. When she was offered an apprenticeship to learn grooming, she accepted without a second thought. Her training from experienced groomers included knowledge of safety, gentle handling, and quality styling.
She is excited to join the Good Karma team and continues to learn from her fellow groomers to provide each pet the best care possible. She finds great joy in helping her four legged friends look and feel their best.
Apart from grooming, her passions include hiking, singing, and practicing piano.
